On Good Friday, the world stands still,
As we recall Christ's sacrifice and will,
The cross, a symbol of his love and pain,
As he bore our sins and took our shame.

The crowds jeered and mocked his name,
Yet, he still went on without any blame,
He endured the pain and suffered alone,
So that our souls could be forever known.

This day reminds us of his mercy and grace,
And his love that we can never replace,
May we honor him in all that we do,
And live our lives in a way that is true.
