Be sure to tune into Metalshop On Kisw tonight, it will be a very special episode dedicated to the memory of Kevin Diers who passed away this week. Most of our fans and supporters are Seattle-based and know who he was, but for those who are unaware, he was a radio DJ who championed the local music scene and was a true heavy metal enthusiast. A super nice guy who wanted nothing more than to give local musicians an avenue to expose themselves on the radio waves. He hosted the Metalshop program on Saturday nights, and created the program Loud And Local which is a segment that airs on Sunday evenings, showcasing all kinds of local talent and weirdness (weirdness used as a term of endearment) in the Seattle music scene. All of us here at Bad Ömen have been in and out of the local Seattle music scene for decades, and Kevin has always supported whatever projects and bands we have been in at the time, and granted us playtime and exposure on the radio airwaves. He attended countless local shows to show his support. The local music scene has lost a legend, and the world has lost a truly special and awesome individual. Please tune into KISW 99.9 "The Rock" tonight at 10pm. Rest In Power Kevin, you were one-of-a-kind and this world will not be the same without you. Hey guys, Ian here.

We are doing a special, and final iteration of our era of Metal Shop tomorrow night in dedication to my best friend, and my brother Kevin Diers.

We will conglomerate with Ryan the beard, radio legend and fellow former Metal Shop host Cathy Faulkner and little ol’ me. I think the drunk in charge will even be showing up. I have a sneaking suspicion that we will be joined by a few other people too.

Honestly, I have no idea what’s going to happen, but trust me, it’ll be worth tuning in to.
