Today is Giving Tuesday ! I am asking my network in the Atlanta area to join me in supporting two amazing Atlanta Based Non-Profit Organizations:
1. Literacy Action - This organization is working to improve the low literacy rate of Georgian Adults and specifically meet immediate needs in Atlanta. “In Atlanta, 1 in 14 adults do not have a high school diploma. Low literacy and numeracy adults experience higher unemployment, poverty, and incarceration rates.”

How Literacy Action breaks the cycle:
Our E3 program provides holistic support with core educational and works readiness services, vocational training, a strong employment network, and the types of career ladders that promote economic stability.

Your contribution goes directly to:
Free GED preparatory classes, ESOL conversation classes, certifications for workplace success, financial, workforce, and family literacy classes. All are powered by your generous contributions.

2. Kamileon Professional Development: KPD serves veterans' employment as they transition to the private sector. Their goal is the raise $10,000, which Facebook will match.

These funds will be used 2-fold:

1. To support Veterans' employment needs as they transition back into civilian life after service.

2. To support children in foster care with holiday toys as they are displaced from their families.
