BIG WINS for the True North students this past weekend at Evergreen Disc Dog’s Updog trial!

🏆Congratulations to Ripley the BorderWhippet for coming home with throwing games champion and a top 3 placement in five of six games!

🏆Big wins for Dugan the Cattle Dog mix for practicing mindfulness and maintaining self preservation in his games AND going home with a top 3 placement in one of his games!

🏆Congratulations to Saru the Mcnab (not pictured) for only playing a couple of games and still winning first in one of them!

🏆Last but not least, baby Malinois Metiche came to play and took reserve champion of his division and a top 3 placement in four games! This (big) little guy just celebrated his first birthday!

I’m so happy I got to play with a couple of these dogs in the trial but even happier to watch these teams come together after all their hard work! They’re having fun out there and that’s the most important part….but the ribbons are nice too!

We’re now offering both Video Lessons and our brand new Trainer on Retainer membership!

Trainer on Retainer gives you insider access to other folks on their training journeys, including myself! This subscription based service is all about flexibility! You come and go as it fits your life and your training goals!
• Have a puppy and questions that change every week? Stay with us as long as you need.
• Feeling confident and just need a tune-up down the road? Pop back in when you’re ready!

📍 In-Person Private Lessons have been updated too!
We’ve split things up so manners and real-life skills are now separate from our dog sport offerings. This means a clearer, more customized path whether you’re working on polite greetings or prepping for your first trial.

🏡Board & Trains + Field Trips are now add-on options for current or former private lesson clients! These are perfect if you’re looking for an extra boost, extra practice, or need help in specific environments, but now they’re part of a bigger, more connected plan!

🎓 Workshops + Webinars have their own easy-to-navigate space on our website now! If you’re looking to dig into specific topics (like intro to dog sports, toy play skills, or ways to advocate for your dog) check in regularly to see whats on the schedule!

📫 Our inquiries are now being responded to on a set schedule! Every Monday and Thursday is when new folks will hear back from us so we can prioritize focus in current clients those other days!

Meet Maki!

This adorable Shiba Inu puppy is working with us on all of her puppy life skills! From mouthing during teething to learning to leash walk, the world is a big place and it’s our job to teach our puppy that we’ve got their back as they mature! Getting a jumpstart on training at this age helps set Maki up for long term success, she’ll be able to fall back onto this training for her entire life!
