💚 Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program – Here's How It Works!

If you're a Medicare beneficiary interested in weight management medication, you may qualify for the new Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program.

Here's what to expect:

1️⃣ Schedule an appointment with one of our providers to determine if you meet the program's eligibility requirements.

2️⃣ If you're eligible, our team will submit the required paperwork and prior authorization to begin the approval process.

3️⃣ Your pharmacy also plays an important role. Once your application is approved, the pharmacy must process the prescription through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program before the medication can be dispensed. In some cases, they may need to complete additional steps on their end.

4️⃣ Once everything is approved and processed, eligible patients may receive their medication for just $50 per month through the program.

✨ Please note that approval is not guaranteed, and eligibility is determined based on Medicare's program guidelines.

If you'd like to see if you qualify, give First Due Care a call or send us a message. Our team is happy to answer your questions and guide you through every step of the process! 💚

🩸 Colon cancer screening can now start with a simple blood draw!

On July 29, 2026, we will have a phlebotomist in office offering Shield™ blood based colorectal cancer screenings for eligible individuals between the ages of 45 and 85.

Shield™ is an FDA approved blood test designed to screen for colorectal cancer by looking for cancer related changes in cell free DNA found in the blood. It offers a simple, noninvasive screening option with no stool sample and no special preparation required.

Colon cancer screening is so important because colorectal cancer can be present before symptoms begin. Shield™ is intended as a primary screening option for average risk adults, making screening more accessible for individuals who may be due or have been putting it off.

📅 Screening Date: July 29, 2026
👥 Ages 45 to 85
🩸 Simple blood draw

We will have designated time spots available! If you are interested in being screened, please contact our office to reserve a time spot and learn more about eligibility.

Your health is worth screening for. Early detection matters. 💙

🏠 Stay indoors during the hottest part of the afternoon when possible.
❤️ Check in on older adults, young children, and neighbors who may need extra help.
❄️ Keep your home cool and take breaks in air-conditioned spaces if you can.

Watch for signs of heat exhaustion like dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, or weakness. If someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, or has a high body temperature, call 911 immediately.

An Open Letter to Anyone Living with Anxiety 💙

If you're reading this and anxiety feels like it's running the show today, we want you to know something important: you're not alone.

The good news? Help is available, and healing is possible.

Whether you're experiencing occasional anxiety or struggling with symptoms that impact your daily life, reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. With the right tools, support system, and treatment plan, many people find relief and regain control of their lives.

✨ Your daily routine could be impacting your health more than you realize.

Sometimes it's not the big things causing burnout, fatigue, anxiety, weight gain, poor sleep, or chronic stress. It's the small habits we repeat every single day.

Skipping meals.
Running on caffeine.
Ignoring stress.
Poor sleep habits.
Never taking time to recharge.
Putting everyone else's needs before your own.

Over time, these routines can quietly affect both your physical and mental well-being.

💭 Take a moment and be honest with yourself:

What's one habit or part of your daily routine that you know isn't serving you anymore?

Drop it in the comments below. No judgment. Let's talk about it. 👇

Healing is not always linear, and mental health care is not one size fits all. Sometimes the hardest part is simply taking the first step and trusting the process. 🤍

At First Due Care, we understand that anxiety, depression, mood changes, ADHD, stress, trauma, and other mental health concerns can affect every part of daily life. Our goal is to provide compassionate, judgment free care while helping patients find a treatment plan that works for them.

Our medication management services are designed to support you through every stage of your journey. Whether you are newly starting medication, looking for adjustments, or trying to better understand your symptoms, our team is here to listen, guide, and work alongside you to create a plan tailored to your needs. Medication management is more than just prescribing medications; it includes ongoing follow ups, education, support, and monitoring to help you feel your best mentally and emotionally. ✨

You do not have to navigate mental health challenges alone. Small steps still count, progress takes time, and asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.
