C4 Studios

Hi everyone!

Long time, no talk!

I know we have all been watching the news and hopefully following social distancing guidelines. The four of us have been watching and brainstorming a way that we would be able to do something to help, even if it’s something as small as a distraction from the grim news that seems to be flooding our feeds. Theater and music have this innate ability to bring people together, to provide a sense of comfort, and to give people an escape. We have seen many ideas floating around from different companies, celebrities, etc. coming up with ways to bring people joy at this time and we are here to invite you all to participate in our idea. Our hope is to gather members of our C4 Fam and participants from past installations of sound and song to come together and create “Sound and Song: Quarantine Edition”!

We have been working on this idea and figuring out logistics as to how we can make it work and we are hoping that this will be the best way to go about it! We are inviting each of you to record yourself singing your favorite song that is in the theme of quarantine, social distancing, etc! Typically, we limit sound and song to Broadway, we would like to open it up to all genres in order to keep the theme. Once you have created your recording, we are asking you to upload your videos to the C4 Studios page. We will share each video & put them all into a “Sound & Song” album. Once posted, you are all encouraged to share the videos you see with your family and friends!

We do plan on including a link to a fundraiser to help support first responders and people on the front lines working so hard and sacrificing so much in order to keep us all healthy and safe during this time in this album.

If you are interested in participating, please let us know as soon as possible. We’re hoping to have these videos uploaded within a week or so.

We are so excited to be doing this virtual r***e and we are hopeful that you will all participate. We have the greatest group of people and you are all always so willing to volunteer your time to give back. Thank you & we can’t wait to hear your songs!

Yesterday, a group of our Sound and Song Performers went Christmas Caroling at Saint Joesph’s Center to spread Christmas Cheer to the patients and families!
