Established in 2002, Marywood University's String Project is an after-school, pre-collegiate string program. Students take small-group lessons in violin, viola, cello and double bass, participate in ensemble rehearsals, and perform in concerts. The String Project also serves as a teaching and pedagogical lab experience for University string majors and music education majors who, under the supervision of Marywood string music faculty members, serve as student assistants in the program.
