Big Boy is in Scranton! 🚂

The last railcar that Union Pacific 4014 "Big Boy” is pulling is "Marco Polo”, a historic 1927 Pullman private luxury railcar most famous for serving as the personal presidential car for Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR).

Built by the Pullman Company as part of a highly exclusive "explorer" series, it was utilized by Roosevelt both as Governor of New York and throughout the first several terms of his presidency.

To celebrate this momentous week, be sure to stop by National Bakery for a fresh loaf of Pullman Bread. Our bread is named after Pullman railcars for their shared rectangular shape.
