The Rewired Relationship

Today, on 🏳️‍⚧️ the Supreme Court said banning Conversion Therapy violates free speech. I disagree. Causing harm to a child is not protected expression — it’s malpractice.
The science is settled. Our ethical standards are unchanged.

Yesterday we wrapped up Root 2 Rise, Level II and as I settled into relaxing last night, I saw this quote. Nearly the exact message I closed my portion of circle with.
Something I believe in is doggedly pursuing our most authentic self - the version of you that’s an unburdened by familial trauma, learned behaviors, and societal standards. I’ll add that as a relational therapist I believe that intentionally doing this work in community is essential—especially in a world where so many of us quietly grieve the loss of connection as adulthood takes hold. Schedules tighten, responsibilities grow, and before we know it, we feel alone.
Week by week, this group rebuilt in community: being witnessed, supported, and held by one another. This work and the 16 weeks shared together has changed my life in so many meaningful ways, and I’m so damn grateful.
