...Just About Running? We hope you will join us for the 2nd Annual Pierogi 5k in Schenectady's Central Park on Saturday, October 18th, even if you are not running. We will have great Polish food, music (Polka and Disco Polo), Raffles, and other cultural encounters starting at noon. Come out and have a great time even if you aren't running, and cheer on the runners too.

Join in on Saturday, October 18th for the 2nd Annual Pierogi 5k. You may register on this site. Individual registrations at $15 ($20 the day of the race) and Teams of six or more are $50 per team. We also ask that you bring a canned or dry food item for donation to the City Mission. Last year’s donations were overwhelmingly generous! , . , , , , , , ,

The 2ND ANNUAL PIEROGI 5K FUN RUN is being held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Central Park, Schenectady, NY

Registration opens at 11:00am
Main Race begins at 12:00pm
Youth Race begins at 1:00pm

Polish Food will be served before, during and after the race!

Individuals and Teams are welcome! Run, Walk, or Roll!

The entry fee is $15 per person in advance ($20 day-of-race) and a non-perishable food item to be donated to the City Mission of Schenectady, New York. Teams can register for $50 in advance ($75 day-of-race).

Winners will receive a trophy AND pierogi!

The Polish American Congress Central Division of New York State is having a Meet & Greet for young adults (20s) on Saturday, March 8 from 1pm-3pm at Holy Name of Jesus, 1040 Pearl Street, Schenectady. This is an opportunity for young adults to collaborate with others of Polish heritage or who are interested in Polish culture and traditions. Light refreshments will be served. Please spread the word and let us know if you can attend.

There will be a FREE screening of the Polish movie The Peasants on Friday, February 14 at 7pm at Page Hall, University at Albany (downtown campus), 135 Western Avenue.
