I think every generation has a favorite cartoon in popular culture. For me, being born in 1986, it was hands down the Italian named American Ninja Turtles of New York; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For my cousin, he loved Dragon Ball-Z, for a different age group, the Power Rangers.
I strongly believe that the ninja turtles are named after Italian renaissance artists because being Italian is more marketable. Merchants and free marketers know that the same product sells better being Italian than any other national identity. Being made in Italy is very marketable because Italians have pride in workmanship in their product even if it means they make less money.
Vespas are not only made in Italy, but truly are the single most vehicle that gave the Italians this reputation. With history, passion, and performance, nothing is more made in Italy than Vespa. Easy to park, good on gas, and built to last. The TMNT would use this Vespa-like "Perpetual Pizza Flinger" when they were not using their blimp or their turtle van, because it truly is, the king of the city streets.
I still have a few Vespas sold out of my personal collection for a huge discount!
