Team Moonbird

Team Moonbird is a group of athletes who challenge themselves to assist conservation organizations with the goal of preventing litter, protecting wildlife, and protecting the ocean.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱? "Moonbird" is the nickname of a red knot (endangered species of bird) who was banded back in 1995. Over its lifespan of approx 22 years it is estimated to have migrated a total distance of 440,000 miles, which is nearly the distance to the moon and back.
