Requiem For Roses

A year ago, most of these people were just usernames on a screen. Now we’re sharing drinks, stories, ideas, wins, struggles, and building real friendships because of this crazy little reseller world.

Whatnot Summit reminded us that behind every username is a real person, and that’s what makes this community special.

Huge thank you to Whatnot for being such gracious hosts and putting together an incredible event for the seller community. We’re already looking forward to the next one.

Feeling so inspired and grateful after Sunday’s auction! Your tips totaled $250, and I had pledged $50 more. However, you all moved me so much that I decided to just match it instead, bringing the total donation to $500 for . I can’t think of a better way to honor what’s closest to my heart during National Vet Tech Week. 🐾

The night prior, on Saturday, I had tough case come into the ER I work at, as most of them are. A DoorDash driver brought in a dog they’d found that was emaciated and barely hanging on. When I offered him food, he showed me he had a spark of fight left in him. I gave him a bath and a comfy spot to rest, then reached out to Jen, the founder of Renegade. Without hesitation, she made space for him, just like she always does. Sadly, that same evening, to my hearts dismay, he grew too tired to fight anymore. But in those final moments, he was able to be shown love and compassion unlike what he’d known before. I kissed his sweet snoot and dubbed him a Renegade that night, and forever more he will be.

That’s what being a Renegade is all about—giving these animals a chance to feel care, no matter how short their time may be. Because of your donations, we can continue to fight for animals like him.
