I decorated these cookies with royal icing made with natural food coloring from The Sugar Art | Color Makers in Ruby, Slate, Arctic Blue, Sunny, and Golden Ivory.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Hudson Valley Athletic Club Hudson Valley Athletic Club, a charitable organization focused on making youth soccer accessible to all kids.
Not every child has the opportunity to pursue their athletic or academic dreams. The current structure of pay-to-play in youth sports limits those children whose families have limited resources to participate at a level that can give them regional or national exposure to college coaches.
Children in rural areas are also limited to programs that help them pursue their dreams of excellence. Even for families that do have financial resources to pay-to-play, the burden is heavy.
Some youth soccer programs that promote themselves as elite programs can cost more than $5,000 per year. Proceeds from this event will go directly toward reducing that financial barrier for players.
Hudson Valley Athletic Club focuses on changing the pay-to-play structure in their own small way by creating an environment of learning and joy where children can develop both on the field and off the field.
The idea for these star quilt cookies was sparked by a spectacular charcuterie board created by The view from Great Island.
