Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity…” ~ Gilda Radner

Your teen isn't being difficult. They're being a teenager.

There's a reason they shut down the second you pull out your phone. And once you understand it, getting photos of them actually gets easier.

Here's what I hear most after a session wraps up: "I didn't expect to feel like that."

And honestly, that's my favorite part.

Not the gallery reveal, not the final edits. The moment a mom sees a photo and says, "That's her. That's really her."

Senior portraits aren't just a box to check before graduation. They're a record of who your daughter is right now, in this specific, fleeting, irreplaceable season of her life.

The way she carries herself. The style that's completely her own. The look she gives the camera when she forgets to feel awkward and just exists.

That's what I'm always chasing.

If your senior is class of 2026 or 2027, my calendar is filling up and fall books faster than most families expect. Where are you at in the planning process?
Drop a comment or send me a message. I'm happy to chat, no commitment needed. 🤍

Julia showed up in pink taffeta, striped tights, and platform pink sparkle boots.

Not for a costume party. For her senior portraits.

She is my favorite example of what happens when a senior shows up completely as herself.

We shot downtown — murals, alleyways, urban texture — because that's where her energy belonged. The classic shots happened too. But the ones nobody could scroll past?

Pure Julia.

That's what personality first looks like. When you stop trying to fit your senior into a template and let them show up as who they actually are, the photos answer themselves.

Location, outfits, mood — all of it follows.
You just have to start with the right question.

Most of the families I meet are walking through this season with one foot on the gas and the other on the brakes.

Senior year is wild like that — packed with firsts and lasts, joy and friction, pride and ache.

It’s tempting to wait until things feel more certain. Until they’re less stressed. Until you are, too.

But the in-between is where the magic lives.

The late-night talks.
The car rides in silence.
The slammed doors, and long hugs after.

This season doesn’t need perfect.
It just needs presence.

If you’re in the thick of it — unsure, emotional, holding it all — know this:

It’s still worth remembering.

Ready when you are.

Choosing a photographer isn’t always easy.
Even after scrolling through endless portfolios and saving all your favorite styles, it can still feel overwhelming.

Because somewhere deep down, you know it’s about more than light and location.

It’s about how you feel when the camera is on you.
Whether you’re allowed to show up fully — quiet or bold, soft or strong, smile or no smile.

It’s about choosing someone who makes space for that.
Someone who leads with care, not pressure.
Someone who values trust over perfection.

If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m really glad you’re here.

If you’re starting to think about senior photos and wondering what that experience could feel like, you can learn more through the link in my bio.

Have you ever had a photo experience that made you feel truly seen?

Quiet water. Soft light. A moment just for her.
