This is an expansion of the post I did about a month ago on the 3 batteries metaphor from Dr. Clark Elliot. This is a further elaboration and interpretation by me for how to apply it to those of us with chronic illness. I am sharing this because this explanation helps me more than the spoon theory did. That isn’t to bash on spoon theory because spoon theory helps a lot of people, and it’s a great explanation for so many. It just didn’t resonate with me, so I wanted to give an alternative metaphor in case even one other person finds this 3 batteries metaphor helpful. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section.
