If I were building this basement again, I wouldn’t approach it any differently than the main level.

The biggest mistake isn’t how a basement is finished… it’s how it’s planned.

When layout, finishes, and lighting are all considered from the beginning, the space becomes something people actually use and enjoy.

It stops feeling separate, and starts feeling like a natural extension of the home.

That’s what turns a basement into something that truly adds value.

The hardest part for me, and believe me/ this is KILLING ME, the basement is currently cuter & more planned out behosively than the upstairs.

What is up with that?

Spring is hoppening 🐰 all around my house!

Although I don’t have many seasonal decorations, it still feels springy, fresh, and ready for a new start 🌿

My top ways to make subtle changes for the seasons are:

Open cookbooks to a seasonal dish (or treat 😉) and put it on display in a book holder

Changing pillows, throw blankets, candles, greenery

Adding a bowl of seasonal fruit/veggies! Lemons felt like springtime to me 🍋

Adding fresh cut flowers (I do have lots and lots of faux so I always try to keep real in the house to bring in that extra bit of realness!) 💐

And throwing in just a few of my springy friends (I think I have three bunnies out in total this year!)

So if you’re feeling the pressures of needing to hoard an entire box of bunnies & bright colored eggs, don’t worry! That’s not the only way to go about his season!

My simplistic approach may be just enough 🥰
