Alisha is our newest hygiene coach and I’m so thrilled to have her!

Some quick and amazing things about her:

• she produces roughly $350 an hour in her hygiene chair, often more!

• she was an army dental specialist for 3 years

• she’s played an educator role for a large portion of her career, teaching at the local college and providing education to nursing home patients

• she served in Uganda for a humanitarian dental mission

• she’s provided dental cleanings and education for women and children rescued from human trafficking

• at her home office, she has implemented programs that successful increased their revenue by hundreds of thousands of dollars each year!

Alisha lives and breathes the definition of Hygienics- the science that deals with preserving and promoting health. She has the biggest heart, cares for her patients, and wants to see other hygienists be successful in their career.

🦠 PERIO 🦠

In recent years the oral bacteria F. nucleatum has been linked to conditions ranging from colorectal cancer to premature delivery of babies.
In hygiene, we need be on high alert when our patients have sites of bleeding. Blood coming out means bacteria can also get in (via ulcerated junctional epithelium). Oral care is PART of overall health. You cannot be healthy unless we are periodontally healthy.
