Key facets of our approach include:
-Supporting individuals with serious illness with free or low-cost delivered organic meals, nutrition education and a community of caring.
-Involving young people as volunteer gardeners and chefs, giving them direct hands-on experience of the difference that fresh, healthy foods and community make, and of their own capacity to contribute.
-Educating the broade

Have you been wanting to turn your backyard into a space that grows its own food? ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ…

Join us this Friday, June 12, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for our second hands-on permaculture workshop! We are gathering at our new facility in southwest Santa Rosa to learn all about the concept of food forests from expert permaculture teacher, Mario Tapia.

In this session, you'll learn how even small spaces can handle multi-story plantings, incorporating everything from fruit trees and fresh herbs to beautiful flowers.

The best part? We are learning by doing! Together, we will actually plant out a food forest and set up its irrigation system. Youโ€™ll walk away with the practical skills to create your own edible habitat at home, while helping us build a beautiful community space at our new site. ๐ŸŒโœจ

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ When: Friday, June 12 | 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
๐Ÿ“ Where: 1237 Apollo Way, Santa Rosa, CA

Space is pretty limited, so make sure to save your spot ahead of time!

๐Ÿ’ฌ Comment "Garden Series" below and we will send the registration link straight to your DMs.

We can't wait to garden with you this Friday! ๐Ÿ‘‡

We are incredibly grateful to welcome back Chokmalichi Farm and Vineyard as a generous sponsor for this year's Harvest of the Heart! ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

Their deep commitment to "making good and doing good" resonates so perfectly with our mission. In the Chickasaw language, the verb chokmalichi translates directly to that beautiful principle, which the proprietors of this native-owned Sebastopol farm live out every day through the regenerative care and stewardship of their land.

Year after year, Chokmalichi Farm feeds our community by donating countless pounds of organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers to local senior centers and food banks. We are deeply honored to have their continued partnership as we work together to cultivate nourishment, and youth empowerment across Sonoma and Marin counties.

We are keeping the party going! ๐ŸŽ‰ We just couldnโ€™t help but share a few more of our favorite moments from our Volunteer Appreciation Party last week.

Looking through these photos, we are reminded of just how lucky we are to have such an awesome community of adult volunteers. From the beautiful smiles to the excitement of the raffle drawings and live music, the energy in our new Santa Rosa home was absolutely magical.

To every single person who came out to celebrate with us, and to all of our volunteers who bring their heart and dedication to Ceres every day, thank you! You are the true heartbeat of our mission. ๐Ÿ’š
