In a heartfelt farewell message, Pastor Amy reminded us that prayer isn't about manipulating God into giving us what we want — it's about placing ourselves where God's grace can reach us, like rain falling on a garden that's ready to receive it. What does your prayer life feel like right now — are you hauling buckets, or have you experienced God's rain? God will send the rain we need.

What if the most important chapter of our church's story is just beginning? In Sunday's message, Pastor Amy drew from Paul's tender letter to the Thessalonians—written within 20 years of Jesus' death—to reveal a timeless truth: God never abandons His church through seasons of change. Like Paul leaving the churches he planted and loved, transitions aren't endings but invitations for the Holy Spirit to work in fresh ways. Through faithful leaders who stay, serve, and love, God keeps growing His kingdom.

Pastor Amy delivers her final sermon at PWUMC this Sunday. We would love for you to join us as we send her off to her new role in the conference.

🍦 What a sweet beginning!

Yesterday, Point Washington United Methodist Church launched The Good Life — our brand-new ministry for adults 60 and better — and what a way to start!

Over 40 people joined us for our Ice Cream Social, and the energy, laughter, and fellowship in the room were absolutely wonderful.

We were also so grateful to have Ted Toedte, Crime Prevention Specialist with the Walton County Sheriff's Office, Florida, join us to share vital information about protecting yourself from AI-driven scams. The conversation was eye-opening and so timely — we're thankful for the important work they do for our community!

This is just the beginning! The Good Life has a full lineup of activities coming up — think trivia lunches, field trips, picnics, game days, and much more. We can't wait to see what this group becomes.

Want to stay in the loop? Make sure you're receiving our Friday Newsletter for all the latest updates on upcoming events!

If you're 60 or better (or know someone who is!), The Good Life is for you. Stay tuned! 🎉
