This is Lücke.

Each one starts on the wheel, thrown using 40 to 50 pounds of stoneware clay.

We then carve, alter, and insert the gap using slab techniques.

Built slow, with care, in our studio, by our own hands.

Absence can be just as powerful as presence.

Lücke, our ceramic stool, honors what’s missing. Wheelthrown and altered, entirely made by our hands.
