CNSP stands for Computer Network Service Professionals. CNSP began as a dial-up internet service provider, initially offering service to family and friends. CNSP dba NMSurf has evolved throughout the years to keep up with the constantly changing technology of the internet. As the need for speed increased and dial-up became obsolete, CNSP, doing business as NMSurf, resold wholesale DSL internet service to its customers. In 2005, CNSP, doing business as NMSurf, began providing terrestrial fixed wireless services. Fixed wireless was still a relatively new technology, and the FCC had made less radio frequency spectrum available for public use. However, the FCC has made more spectrum available, and since 2010, the technology has improved significantly, becoming competitive with wireline broadband service.In many cases, especially in New Mexico, it even surpasses DSL or Cable internet service. In 2025, Fixed Wireless is now one of the better options for broadband internet service, with the latest equipment capable of supporting Gigabit speeds. Many Internet service providers and network engineers have created hybrid fixed wireless and fiber networks. Optical Fiber is one of the most reliable and fastest ways to connect to the internet.
