Today is horrible, full of what-ifs, anger, and anxious anticipation. We're in a mess, and that's the truth. But we can't lose sight of the world we want and what the world needs of us - democratic workplaces, built on right relationship to the planet, and animated by concern for community.

Democracy begins at the ground level. We'll never live in a democratic society when most people spend the majority of their lives at workplaces where they have no say and where the profits go to the boss! Hard Core Compost is proud to be and a place we practice . Profits go to the workers, not owners or investors. Management decisions are taken by the people who do the work, not supervisors clinging to their scrap of authority.

The current situation shows we can't expect a society with regular people's interests at heart if we only vote on a few measures and officials every 2 to 4 years. We deserve a vote at the polls, a vote at home, and a vote in the workplace! You can make this happen right now by supporting, starting, or joining a cooperative.
