Hoes Down has always been a volunteer-run event.

Food prep. Setup. Serving. Cleanup. The people who make this festival feel like magic are those who show up early, roll up their sleeves, and work a four-hour shift — because they believe in what Hoes Down is for.

For 35 years, volunteers have been the heartbeat of the festival. Not a paid crew. A community that keeps showing up.

And in return? Free entrance to the festival. A behind-the-scenes experience most attendees never get to see and the satisfaction of knowing you helped raise money for sustainable agriculture and rural communities.

The Organic Stone Fruit Jubilee was recently featured in an article in the Fresno Alliance, written by Sue Kern of Kern Family Farm, who also serves on our planning committee. Since 2008, the Jubilee has brought farmers and eaters together to celebrate the people behind our food and the land they care for.
