National Preparedness Month is recognized each September to encourage community emergency planning throughout the year. Floods, wildfires and earthquakes remind us to prepare for the unexpected. This year's goal is to focus on preparing older adults for potential hazards and disasters in Santa Clara County. Emergency preparedness takes a whole community. Together, community members and local government can learn how to better respond to and rebuild after an emergency or disaster strikes. When we work together for the good of others, our communities are more robust. It starts with you!
