✨  WEEK 1: 2020 biggest hits ✨

We are going to start by doing a recap on our 2020. Even though it seems like it went by on a whiff, leaving nothing but overused sweatpants and maskne, 365 days (well, 336) are a lot of days and despite all the negatives - I promise you there were positives too.

Our brains are programmed to focus on the negative, on the immediate danger. They have this annoying habit of trying to keep us alive. And since the main “negative” we have been struggling with this year is not yet over - we might need to make an active effort to focus on the positives and the happiness.

For this week´s task, we are going to thoroughly go through our year, in order to find out all those little gold nuggets that we indeed had.

🤔  And how would we do this? 🤔

By going through your camera roll since January 1st, your Instagram posts and stories, your DMs, the conversations with your favorite people, your emails, etc. We are basically going to stalk ourselves - and in the process, we will bring back all the memories from these 11 months.

This will help you figure out your 2020 Biggest hits - the hidden gems amongst the dirt.

So take out a piece of paper (or your journal) and break it into 4 columns. In these columns, while browsing through your digital memories, note down :

💎  What I learned

Note down the things you have learned about yourself, your loved ones, or life itself. Skills or fun facts you didn´t know before. Places, activities, people, or things that you experienced for the first time.

💎  What I am proud of

Even if at this point you feel demotivated, I am sure there are plenty of things (big or small) that through this year left you feeling with a sense of pride.

💎  What I am thankful for

While going through your photos, and texts, you will also recall memories that will warm your heart. Things that despite it all made you feel lucky.

💎  What made me laugh

Finally, make note of all the fun moments. The silly, light-hearted, fun, stupid ones. The belly laughs.

Start walking down memory lane and picking up those nuggets with no rush - tomorrow we will share 2 story templates for you to use.

Sustainability advocates around the world are launching campaigns against . And not without reason.

This event promotes some of the least sustainable shopping habits; such as impulse buys and extreme promotions. It´s not hard to understand why brands who want to work towards more and retail models can be horrified by it.

Because of that, many brands and businesses are looking for alternative strategies to "celebrate" BLACK FRIDAY without promoting overconsumption.

As consumers, there are also ways we can engage in this retail event with a more sustainable approach - here are 5 examples of how to do so.

Is there any other thing you can think of? Have you heard of any sustainable initiatives from your business or some of your favorite brands? Tell us in the comments so we can all learn about it!

We are living in circumstances that are unprecedented for most of us. Day by day, the situation is changing and even if it's true that we are learning more and more thus bringing hope to find a solution as soon as possible, we might just need to accept that "wait until things go back to normal" is no longer a viable option.

The current Covid-19 crisis its bound to last months, not weeks. The economic and social aftermath will likely affect our culture for years, not months.

We want to start a conversation about the changes we can expect in consumer behavior, workplace dynamics and the overall market landscape - as well as look into the tools and skills we can develop to cope with all these change, to adapt and pivot our careers, lives and businesses to the Post-Covid19 scenario.

We will kick off the series this Sunday with a conversation with Mona Jensen, founder of somethinggreen.org. We will talk about how this crisis has sparked a sense of community like never before, and how it has made us realise how our individual actions can have a strong impact on the global wellbeing.

Today we are going to talk about sustainability in SOURCING - this means the materials necessary to produce the fashion product.

Most of the narrative regarding sustainability in Fashion revolves about the use of this or that materials, and different people have different opinions about what is the best option.

Even though sourcing is just one piece of the sustainability puzzle, the materials we choose for our collections can have a huge influence on how our items and collections impact the environment.

*SUSTAINABLE FASHION* Episode IV : How sourcing materials can negatively impact the environment. In the quest for sustainability in Fashion, we are seeing more and more brands betting on environmentally-friendly materials. If fact, most of the content an...
