This past weekend my office hosted the 2024 Moon Festival at Mile Square Park, one of the most significant celebrations in the Vietnamese culture. Everyone who attended had a great time and enjoyed Moon Cakes, lanterns, face painting, Balloon animals, arts and crafts.
Thank you to the singers and cultural dance groups who were the real stars of the show celebrating the cultural significance of the Moon Festival in Little Saigon.

My District Representative, Jack Du, recently presented a Certificate of Recognition to the City of Westminster to commemorate the completed renovation of the Newcastle Park Playground.

The playground renovation offers more safety features, including rubber flooring. There’s also a new climbing feature for kids to enjoy. Congratulations to the City of Westminster for renovating the playground.

On Thursday, August 29th, the American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 10:30 am until 5:00 pm at the Westminster Library. Every day, our community needs 13,000 blood donations to meet the needs of our local hospitals. Cancer patients alone use nearly a quarter of the blood supply. A victim from a car accident can require up to 100 pints of blood.
