The purpose of the program is build an understanding with the youth of the community, to involve youth in police operations, and to interest them in future law enforcement careers. With the help of the , the Explorers participated in an exciting K-9 training night that included detection work, tracking, and criminal apprehension. The Explorers learned firsthand about the important role these highly trained dogs play and the valuable resource they are to the department and community. Thank you to the K-9 Unit for taking the time to share their knowledge and skills with our Explorers!
