When Raindancer and Clover left their natal band together they were both very young. I didn’t think it would last very long, but who am I to judge young love! Matisse, the beautiful black and white pinto, soon joined them after he also left the same band. So the three of them have been traveling the desert high mountains together. Last month I stumbled upon the three of them with a new foal! I knew Clover was pregnant and had been anxiously awaiting this new life. When I saw him I knew who the sire was, there was no doubt! We can never be 100 percent sure but I think on this one there is no doubt that Raindancer is his father, he carries the same pinto splashes that his grandmother and father both have.
I watched Raindancer and Matisse huddle around this new little c**t trying to figure out what was going on! Both stallions will turn three this year as will Clover. So far this young little band is settling in and this little c**t is growing and thriving. I guess time will tell if this unusual little band stays together.
