5 Months of Rising Home Prices
Home prices in the Salt Lake area continued to show gains in August as inventory levels tightened, according to the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. August marked the 5th consecutive month of rising home prices on a year-over-year basis. All housing types year-over-year up 21%. All housing types median price year-over-year up 10%. All housing types sales year-to-date up 19%.
Rising sales and prices have shifted Salt Lake's market to more of a seller's market, which is characterized by more buyers than sellers.
