There was blank canvas in front of me, with all kinds of colors ready to paint. I was holding a fan brush, touching the canvas without paint, hearing the soft sound that it makes and feeling the texture of the canvas.
My mind was racing with insecurities,
“What do I paint? Who do I want to please? I can’t take back any strokes...”
I was frozen in time, unable to make a move.
Then, I heard a whisper in my ear,
“Paint what you’re passionate about. Don’t think about what image comes out of it. Nothing else matters but this moment right here”.
I felt that place in my body where my deep passions come from vibrate with warmth.
I woke up at that moment and looked at the blank canvas in front of me, and felt peace.
