The Pro-Voice Project
"The people who are here, really want to be here." As Idaho healthcare facilities including Sandpoint's BGH desperately try to recruit new practitioners, Idaho physicians speak to the challenges of practicing here, and the reality that, had the abortion ban been in place all along, they probably would never have practiced here.

💥 IDAHO 💥 Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 20 💥 PVP is presenting statewide virtual event Courage In the Face of Fear: Social Justice Elders on the Importance of Speaking Out.
Courage in the Face of Fear will bring together Loretta Ross, Suzanne Pharr, and Shea Howell of the National Council of Elders for a live, moderated conversation about fear, shame, silence, courage, and what it takes to speak and act on behalf of human dignity when doing so feels risky. The event will livestream statewide, with local watch gatherings planned in communities across Idaho, including Sandpoint and Boise.
We are honored to virtually host these Elders, each of whom has decades of experience in social justice, community organizing, human rights education, and movement-building. We're also grateful to the Bonner County Endowment Fund for Human Rights in the Idaho Community Foundation for their generous grant to make this event happen.
Don't miss this! Mark your calendars and stay tuned for an in-person watch party near you.

Call for your mife stories! 📣 Not only are anti-abortion extremists pushing misinformation, junk science, and using political pressure campaigns to ban the pill, the FDA is currently examining a debunked, junk science “study” to decide if they will limit or ban completely access to mifepristone, one of the most widely used, safe, and effective forms of reproductive healthcare in the country.
💊 Have you used mifepristone? Your story will help tell the real truth about this lifesaving drug.
💊 We've teamed up with Mife Stories Project to collect medication abortion stories--anonymously and securely--to flood the airwaves with *real* lived abortion experiences. Share yours at https://na2.hubs.ly/H06dRDx0

"I think the thing that bothers me is, we've got people who are telling us, 'okay this is what you can and can't do,' at the same time they don't know what it involves or what the situations are in which we utilize abortion." Idaho physicians speak to legislators' lack of knowledge and hubris that has implemented--and kept in place--our state's near-total abortion ban despite parents and doctors loudly speaking out, hospitals closing, and numerous providers leaving.

📣 Coming fall of 2026 📣 new Worth of a Woman programming to a community near you!
We're thrilled to share that we've received a $4000 grant from the Idaho Humanities Council to support Worth of a Woman: Autonomy, Access, and the Value of Care, a five-stop exhibit tour with related public programming from November 2026-June 2027.
The IHC grant requires us to match their grant dollar-for-dollar, so we're asking you to help us raise another $4000 to make this full series possible. Your support will fund:
✔️ Speaker honoraria and travel
✔️ Exhibit transport & installation
✔️ Printed interpretive materials
✔️ Outreach & publicity
We's excited to spark conversation throughout Idaho—Boise, Hailey, Coeur d'Alene, Moscow and Pocatello—on how we value women's bodies and care. If WoaW has moved you, please consider helping us meet this match to fully fund our ambitious statewide series. https://na2.hubs.ly/H06wJlG0

Tell your medication abortion story 💊 PVP is partnering with We are a partner Mife Stories Project (mife, short for mifepristone and sounds like ‘jiffy’), a nationwide coalition campaign to gather medication abortion stories to flood the FDA, the media, and the public at this critical moment when attacks on abortion pills are rapidly escalating. Gathering and sharing abortion stories is a direct push back against attempts to erase lived experience from the record and makes sure decision-makers hear from the people who have actually used this care.

CALL FOR MIFE STORIES 📣 Anti-abortion extremists are escalating efforts to restrict or discredit medication abortion by:
👉 Pushing biased and misleading “studies”
👉 Spreading fear-based narratives about abortion pills
👉 Pressuring regulators like the FDA to restrict or remove access despite overwhelming medical consensus it's safe and effective
👉 Making outrageous claims that medication abortion is in our drinking water
We are helping collect anonymous medication abortion stories through Mife Stories to push back against misinformation and political interference in essential healthcare.
You can anonymously tell your medication abortion story at https://na2.hubs.ly/H06dSwF0 or the link in bio. Abortion pills are safe, widely used, and essential healthcare, and we're making sure the people who have used them are heard.
