SUNDAY, January 4th: Reset Day
Historically, the first Sunday of January is when families reset routines. Ot's a good day to talk with kids about what’s coming up this week so Monday isn’t a surprise.
THURSDAY, January 8th: Post-Holiday Illness Spike
Early January consistently sees one of the highest cold & flu transmission periods. Schools and offices see noticeable absences starting around now.
FRIDAY, January 9th: First “Normal” Friday of 2026
This is the first Friday that feels fully back to routine. For kids, finishing this week often feels like a milestone after the break.
