I was in the coffee shop this morning and the conversation gradually went to speaking about nonprofits, we shared our opinions of what nonprofits should be, instead of money making machines paying executives an exorbit amount of money, which could go back into the cause. We all agreed. However, their facial expressions were that of shame?
It puzzled me for a second, then I realized a lot of topics having to do with change, perhaps people know change is needed, but they're not willing to participate and sacrifice for change, so shame is a trigger for them to donate money, because being ashamed of not participating, sacrificing and dedicating their life for change is why people donate money to causes, which may free them from guilt?
