For many years I thought Sacred Union was something I would find.

In the right beloved. In the right teacher. In the right lineage. I poured myself in. I tried to be the provider, the rock, the one who showed up. And I suffered, quietly, when that providing was not seen — when it was taken for granted — when the love I was pouring out was not coming back to the place inside me that was actually thirsty.

I sat with teachers in rooms with incense and bowls and beautiful words. The medicine was real. The lineages held something true. And. The ache did not leave. I would come down from the mountain, out of the temple, off the cushion — and the same quiet division was still living in my chest. Still waiting.

It took me years to understand what those moments — the relationship that broke open with "I can't do this anymore," the morning I realized no transmission could finish the work for me — were trying to teach me.

I had been waiting for someone to hand me the key to my own house.

Sacred Union is not a partnership.
It is not a polarity.
It is not a person you are waiting for, or a teacher who will hand it to you, or a lineage that will install it in you.

Those are doorways. Those are mirrors. They are real and beautiful and worth honoring.

But none of them is the meeting itself.

The meeting itself is a capacity the body learns to hold within itself. It is the inner masculine — finally learning his true work. Not jailer. Not the one who pours and pours and never rests. Witness. Welcomer. The one who kneels at the closet door and says, I am here. Come out in peace. And it is the inner feminine — finally hearing a voice on her side of the door that she can trust. Not because the world has changed. Because she is no longer alone in the dark.

When that meeting begins to live inside you, everything outside you changes too. Love stops being a search party. Teachers become companions on the road again. The long grief of the world — its own division, its own war between the currents — finds in you a body that no longer has to choose.

There is a doorway being prepared. A free online gathering on May 13 — Sacred Union — An Inner Marriage — that Alegria and I are opening together. Not a workshop. Not a teaching. A doorway.

The deeper letters — the ones I do not post here — go out only to those who have said yes to walking close.

🗝️ If something in you wants to receive them, you can join the list in the comments.

What have you been asking the outside to do, that the inside is finally ready to do?

I have been listening to something for a long time now.

Not loudly. Not all at once. But steadily — the way some currents move beneath the surface of a life, asking quietly to be felt. A subtle ache. A sense of something almost meeting and then pulling away. A reaching toward love, and the old turning back.

You may know this in your own body. Most of us do.

I returned recently from a journey that quietly turned into a pilgrimage — and somewhere on that long road home, alone in the cab of my car between mountains and dusk, something in me cracked open and asked to be felt. What met me there was not a teaching. It was a listening.

And what I have come to understand from that listening is that the deepest division most of us carry is not between us and another, not between us and the world — but inside us. Between the two great currents that live in every body. The masculine and the feminine. The one that gives, and the one that receives. The one that holds, and the one that is held.

Not as roles. Not as identities. As the two sacred breaths of the soul.

This is part of why I am stepping forward this season alongside Elsa Alegría — Ordained Priestess and wisdom keeper of the 13 Moon Mystery School — to open a sacred container called KU·MA·RA: a journey into the inner marriage, into the meeting of what has long lived divided inside the self.

We will begin with a free live ceremonial gathering, Sacred Union: An Inner Marriage — and continue, for those who feel called, into a twelve-week immersive container.

Details are unfolding in the days ahead.

If something in you has been quietly listening alongside me — and you would like to be among the first to receive the date, the invitation, and the way to step toward the threshold — you are warmly invited to join my newsletter at: https://www.bluedragonalchemy.com/sacred-anointing-codex The next letters will arrive there.

The medicine begins by simply being met.

With reverence and listening,

A small offering for Earth Day — on the Earth as living body, and the sacred ways we return through breath, touch, and remembrance.

This Earth Day, I am not feeling the usual language of awareness or activism first.

I am feeling grief, reverence, and a deep remembering.

A remembering that the Earth is not separate from us. She is not just the ground beneath our feet, or a beautiful backdrop to our lives. She is living presence. Living intelligence. Living body. And I think part of the ache so many of us are carrying comes from how deeply we have forgotten that.

We have been taught to live so far from the body, so far from the rhythms of the Earth, so far from the simple holiness of being here. We reach for spirit somewhere above us, beyond us, outside us, while the sacred is still quietly trying to meet us through breath, through skin, through scent, through the living world itself.

This is part of why anointing means so much to me.

Holy oil is not just fragrance. It is not adornment alone. To me, it is liquid life from the body of the Earth — the prayer of root and flower, bark and resin, seed and sunlight — gathered and offered back to the body as blessing.

And when we anoint with presence, something real happens. The Earth touches the body. The body remembers it belongs to the Earth. And Spirit returns as a kiss upon the body.

Maybe this is part of what Earth Day is asking of us.

Not only that we care about the Earth from a distance, but that we return to her in intimacy. That we slow down enough to feel that we are not separate. That we remember the body as temple, matter as sacred, and the living world as something to be met with tenderness and reverence.

If your heart has been longing for a more intimate way to remember, I am sharing the Blue Dragon Alchemy holy oils here:
