Mark 1:35-36
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”
Many people would have slept late after such a busy day, but Jesus rose early, even before dawn, and went to a remote (wilderness) place to pray. This sacrificial act paints Jesus as consciously dependent on His Father for strength and direction for what lay ahead of Him.
Simon and his companions seem to have had the common attitude that when things are favorable we do not need God’s help. Apparently they felt Jesus was not taking advantage of His popularity to promote His mission. They did not realize that God directed Jesus’ mission, not the responses of people.
I don’t know what God has called you to do or how He has called you to serve…but I know that you MUST carve out time for solitude with God and prayer.

Jesus lived in the upside-down reality of the Kingdom of God. Jesus had grown so accustomed to the invariably upside-down world that, paradoxically and happily, everything seemed to him normal, rightside up. To be rooted in this Kingdom is to enter into a way of life, an altogether new way of life in which your undisputed top priority is to completely rearrange your life around being with and becoming like Jesus.
Mark 1:15
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
