This is quite possibly a relic of the Lewis and Clark expedition in Idaho, and quite possibly the work of one specific man, John Shields. Apparently the locals were crazy for this kind of blade as a tomahawk. Astonishing to see this. Why would they want this blade design? It is BIG! It seems to be almost 9 inches long!
