Capital Manor Retirement Community

Residents and guests were treated to an outstanding performance by 31 talented young musicians from Whiteaker Middle School. Events like these remind us of the importance of bringing generations together. Music has a unique way of connecting people across ages and backgrounds, and it was a joy to see our residents and these young performers share an afternoon of learning, inspiration, and appreciation. The students gained the experience of performing for an engaged audience, while our residents enjoyed the energy, talent, and optimism that young people bring. A heartfelt thank you to the students and their director, Mac Mayer, for sharing your gifts with the Capital Manor community. We cherish these intergenerational experiences and look forward to welcoming more young artists in the future!

The Alzheimer’s Association is one of Capital Manor’s not-for-profit partners this year. As a fundraiser, Capital Manor cookbooks are available for pre-order sales, for $15 (please contact Keely Marvin if you are interested). In addition, you can contribute to the “Be the Change” coin jar, located at the Manor Care West Entrance desk, by donating your loose change. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. #
