Clatsop County officially opened its first large-scale Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) development, with 32 homes for people experiencing chronic homelessness.

At The Baker Building, onsite services include mental health and substance use disorder treatment, medication management, and peer support and psychiatric care, all provided by Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare.

Staff at the development come from a low-barrier shelter that closed in Seaside in late 2025 due to budget constraints. Employing them at the Baker Building preserves critical expertise while expanding long-term housing capacity.

Oregon voters will weigh in on transportation funding at the earliest possible juncture, allowing lawmakers to hammer out road maintenance and repair solutions sooner, under a bill passed in the state Senate today. Senate Bill 1599 will put Referendum Petition 2026-302 on every Oregon ballot May 19, 2026.
