For all of you who recently pick up nucs from us, we recommend attending this month's club meeting of the Willamette Valley Beekeepers Association. They will be teaching how to mark queens! There will also be discussion about managing for varroa mites.

Attention New Beekeepers! We'll be a vendor at the upcoming Portland Metro Beekeepers Association Bee Day on Saturday, May 9th in Colton, Oregon. Bee Day is an opportunity to get hands on experience working in bee hives, learning how to light a smoker, conduct a hive inspection, find queens, identify brood diseases, and much more! PMBA's Bee Day is $35 and includes lunch, presentations, and field time with the bees. Bring your protective gear. If you don't have any yet, we'll have bee suits, gloves, veils, and an array of beekeeping supplies available for purchase at the event.
