Leaky gut is a root cause to so many conditions, and is rarely truly addressed.
One of the biggest leaky gut instigators is gluten. America's gluten is covered in a chemical called glyphosate. This chemical is sprayed directly on the wheat right before harvest meaning we are literally ingesting it. This chemical has been proven to *cause* leaky gut! Gluten in America is not a very safe food for those with autoimmune disease, mental health conditions, any kind of gut issues, and I just generally recommend everyone to stay away from it.
That is one excellent way to begin to get your gut to seal... Stop eating gluten.
The next few ways require a little more of a personal approach. I would recommend a food sensitivity test to learn what foods your body is struggling to endure, and then I would also recommend a GIMAP test to get a clear picture of where your intestinal health is at.
From there we would develop a diet for your body + supplements to health your gut.
Great common "supplements" to think about for that "healing and sealing" effect:
➡️ Bone broth
➡️ Beet juice
➡️ Liquid chlorophyll
➡️ Eat a variety of meat (beef, chicken, venison, lamb, pork)
➡️ Eat a variety of fat (meat fats, avocado, seafood, olives, coconut, dairy)
➡️ Eat a variety of vegetables, stop only eating broccoli and green beans 🙃
➡️ Tbls of oregano oil
➡️ 1 Tbls l-glutamine (mix in liquid)
➡️ Phosphatidylcholine (1/day)
➡️ Cooked and raw garlic on the regular
Healing the tight junctions of your gut is where we have to start if you want to heal leaky gut. A personal and direct approach is the best and most effective, but if you can't commit to that at the moment these suggestions above are the next best thing ❤️

Autoimmune Disease not only comes with frustrating symptoms but also an increase in being immunocompromised 😩
BUT there are a lot of things you can do to combat it 💪
▪️Eat an anti-inflammatory diet and one that is right for *your body* limiting non nourishing foods like gluten, bad sugars and food additives, and processed and fast foods.
▪️ Exercise appropriately for your body. Exercise automatically comes with the stigma that we have to sweat our asses off... People with autoimmune diseases most likely need something less intense and their bodies will respond in glee because of it. Replace HIIT & CrossFit with walking, biking, swimming, pilates, yoga or stretching. Keep your heart rate steady and mild and don't flare your body with heavy weight.
▪️Go outside. Simple. Go outside. Good for the mind and inflammation.
▪️Lower stress loads. Stress comes in MANY forms: life stress, overdoing it with exercise, not getting enough sleep, and stress from toxins coming from cleaning supplies, fragrances, body care, mold, chemicals. Address each of these in a way that is tangible for your life. Don't attract more drama and disaster in your life, remove those that are creating it. Chill on the intense exercise. Create a sleep routine and focus of 7-8 hrs of sleep. Switch to cleaner cleaning products & body care products.
▪️ Supplements should be recommended to you based on your current bodies needs. Taking poorly made supplements can actually be a huge waste of money and might be doing more harm than good. Talk to a holistic practitioner about what would be best for you. * YES THIS INCLUDES "Multivitamins"*
▪️GO HAVE FUN!!! One of the best ways to improve mood and boost that antiinflammatory hormone, serotonin, is to engage often and daily with life-giving activities!
There you go! Go boost your immunity, it can be done 💪

I mean... Ya I'll eat some chocolate 🍫🤤
Dark chocolate can also improve cravings for overindulging on sugar. When my clients are trying to wean off sugar, this is my favorite trick to tell them. Sugar isn't a bad thing, it's the over eating of sugar that is a problem. Sugar is necessary for our body, we need to be able to produce glucose, but when we eat it in excess our pancreas freaks a bit.
Dark chocolate is also helpful in mood balancing - it is a wonderful resource for women on or close to their cycles.
When you decide on a dark chocolate to enjoy try finding a chocolate bar that is about 60% chocolate, and something high quality - a Hershey's bar does not count 😝
Go get yo' self some chocolate 😋
