Continuing in our series of introducing you to our district leaders. Today we get a privilege to shine a light on a friend to many who needs no introduction. Past District Gov Eloy Nunez who continues to serve as our "Peace & Conflict Resolution Chair."

Here are the answers to his questions so you can get to know him a little better.

Q1. What’s one superpower that would make your Rotary service easier?
A1. Inter-dimensional transport, so that I can be at many places at once

Q2. If you could launch a new Rotary service project tomorrow, what would it be? OR what is your most passionate rotary service project you're engaged with?
A2. First 30 Seconds project, which teaches new drivers (primarily high school juniors and seniors) on how best to interact with the police during traffic stops. This is a Rotary peace & conflict resolution project.

Q3. How many years have you been a Rotarian (Year Started)?
A3. 17 years

Q4. What is/was your career/vocation?
A4. Police Lieutenant, Miami-Dade Police Department (1981-2007)Associate Professor of Criminal Justice, Saint Leo University (2008-2023)

Last call for tickets for the Rotary Lightning ⚡ game. Tickets must be ordered by 1/15/26. We have to finalize the account and turn back unsold seats.

Please come and join the fellowship and fun, supporting our Tampa Bay Lightning and The Rotary Foundation.

Fellowship: early entry two hours before the game with food and drinks included. The area is not open for everyone, just groups.
