Earlier this summer I captured this photograph of Ara Elizabeth, a beautiful, talented, magical woman. I'm placing a link in the comments to her Kickstarter campaign to publish her second children's book. If you have young people in your life, please purchase a book for them! This photo was featured on the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep page today. It is a photo I captured of baby Abel being cared for so gently and lovingly by his mama and big sister. Sessions when siblings are present are incredibly special. Through the photos we take, we help cement memories that big brothers and sisters might be too young to fully remember. Future younger siblings come to "know" their brother or sister through photos that they can see and touch. THIS is making a difference in a life. It's a big reason why I volunteer. Today is Children's Grief Awareness Day , designed to help us all become more mindful of the needs of grieving children and the opportunity to make sure that they receive the support they need.
