Ring-tailed lemurs are part of the Species Survival Program (SSP), which helps ensure healthy, genetically diverse populations in zoos. They’re also among the most vocal primates—using at least 28 different calls to communicate with their troop, from friendly chatter to alarm calls that warn of potential danger. Fun fact, Como Zoo’s lemurs also seem to be fans of the challenging wall work outs.
