Nurses and community voices came together this week for a second community forum hosted by the Attorney General’s Office regarding the proposed acquisition of North Memorial by Sanford Health. Nurses sent a clear message: healthcare decisions must put patients, workers and communities first.

Thanks to the power of MNA nurses standing together, nurses secured a Letter of Understanding (LOU) with Sanford that protects key workplace rights throughout the proposed acquisition. At the same time, nurses are in coalition with other labor unions, faith leaders, and community partners who are fighting for a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA). The CBA demands accountability, protects access to care and ensures communities have a voice as this acquisition moves forward. Nurses will continue to stand up for patients!
