I brought this song idea to a co-writing session with Ryan Necci after a dear friend was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. We were talking about how difficult it is to ask for help sometimes. I heard the phrase 'we're all passing around the same 20 dollar bill' and wanted to write a song around it. We wanted to remind people that in this life, we all will need help at some point. Hopefully when we are able to help others we will, and when we need that 20 dollar bill, someone will be there for us too.
