Horse Haven Ranch
✨ Grateful for our amazing return clients! ✨
One of our wonderful repeat guests from River Grove Ranch in Idaho came through yesterday — they’ve been trusting us since 2023! They were so happy to hear we’re staying put and continuing to offer this level of care. Last night they brought 6 of their beautiful Pasos, who thoroughly enjoyed the misters and the cool, comfortable air in the barn. 🐴💨
At Horse Haven Ranch, horse health and safety are everything. We do detailed checks throughout the night — monitoring manure, water intake, feed, and urine output to catch any early signs of colic (and yes, we’ve caught a couple just in time in the past!).
Two of their horses hadn’t dropped any manure until night check. I stayed up until I saw those first piles — because that’s how important it is to us. Any pawing, rolling, or belly watching and I’m right there with my stethoscope.
Our clients get reassuring text updates with photos so they can sleep peacefully knowing their horses are doing great. I always tell them: “I’ll text you with good news. If I call… there’s a problem.”
One of our clients actually woke up in the middle of the night, checked her texts, and was able to go right back to sleep instead of rushing out to the barn. That peace of mind means everything. ❤️
We also have a full wash rack for cooling down, a well-stocked first-aid kit, and electrolyte mixes ready whenever needed.
Yes, we do charge more than most — because we deliver so much more. The attention to detail, pristine cleanliness, biosecurity, and genuine care show in every stay. Many of our clients are so thrilled they send unsolicited tips on top of their booking, and every penny goes right back into keeping the facility excellent for you and your horses.
I’m putting together some behind-the-scenes cleanup videos soon so you can see exactly what we do after every guest leaves to keep our barn tip-top!
Thank you for trusting us with your horses. It’s an honor.
Who else has a horse that loves our misters as much as these Pasos did? Drop a comment below! 👇
☀️ When it’s 106° outside and my boys have to be out in the runs because their indoor stalls are reserved for guests… I pull out all the extra cooling tricks I can!
Our barn has misters on the outside plus plenty of shades, but even on the cooler side it still feels like an oven. So I grab the hose and go to work: spraying down the mats, the dirt, the shades themselves (so they get that nice raindrop drip effect for the horses), and yes — the boys too!
I’d rather have my horses dirty and cool than clean, dry, and miserable. ❤️
Here’s a minute of them rolling and loving the relief 😂 Who else is doing everything possible to keep their horses comfortable in this heat?

The long-awaited update on Horse Haven Ranch and our future ❤️
Last year, my husband received some exciting opportunities that had us seriously considering a move across the country. We explored relocating Horse Haven Ranch and even expanding to a larger footprint. Everything seemed to be falling into place… until we actually put our property on the market.
We quickly realized that while so many people say they’d love to do what I do — work from home caring for horses and their people — the reality is very different. The horse industry is facing real challenges right now, from veterinary shortages to the loss of boarding and rehab facilities. With Sunset Equestrian Center now being sold to developers, it makes you wonder how many places will be left for our horses.
We hoped to find someone who would take over our clientele and continue the high standard of care we’ve built. The facility had everything needed to succeed, but we couldn’t find the right person who wanted to keep it as a horse property. Instead, we had offers wanting to change it into something else entirely — and that was never an option for me.
In our five years since opening in May 2021, our overnight clients have continued to double each year. We’ve welcomed Olympic-level show horses, miniature ponies, donkeys, mules, show cows, goats, and everything in between. We’ve provided a safe, climate-controlled haven for traveling families and horses — including our most recent return client who called it his “safe landing” after driving through the night in the heat.
That’s the magic of Horse Haven Ranch — personalized hospitality, comfort, and peace of mind for every horse and every client.
After listing the property, we received an incredible outpouring of love from so many of you — our boarding clients, mobile clients, and friends in the community — pleading with us to stay.
So today, we’re officially pulling our place off the market.
We hear you. We feel your love for this special place, and we care deeply about each of you. Horse Haven Ranch will continue right here in St. George, Utah, serving our clients with the same dedication, top-tier care, and heartfelt hospitality you’ve come to expect.
We’re also excited to keep growing the Utah Horse Directory — our free interactive resource designed to connect the entire equestrian community across the state. We’ll continue adding categories, helping rescues, and making it easier for everyone to find quality services, boarding, and support.
On a personal note, I’m actively continuing my education in equine veterinary technology (CVT), rehabilitation, bodywork, and performance conditioning. These credentials will allow us to expand our equine wellness services and bring more opportunities for growth and higher-level care to our clients and their horses.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We’re staying — and we’re more committed than ever to serving you and the entire horse community!

🌞 Barn shuffle complete!
Anytime I let the boys out, they always end up hanging on the shadier, cooler side of the barn, so this morning I moved all their stalls over there.
Now the right side is perfectly positioned so our VRBO guests can literally look right out their window and see their horses — super convenient and comforting!
And if someone is traveling with a horse that prefers to stay outside (instead of the climate-controlled indoor stalls with orthopedic floors and breezeway visibility to the boys), they’ll still have a lovely view of our neighbor’s horses to help them settle in.
We’re also getting everything ready for a very special guest… Big Sam Sam is coming back to stay with us for July and August to beat the St. George heat! 🥳 Happy dance over here!
Always tweaking things to keep everyone as comfortable as possible.

✨ Hey everyone! ✨
Big update on the Utah Horse Directory
www.utahhorsedirectory.com
I now have 92 categories built in, with 40 of them fully complete and working great on both mobile and desktop!
I’m really excited to start building out the Horse Rescues category next, but I need your help!
If you know of any horse rescues (in Utah or beyond), please drop their names below and tag them!
Ones I already know about:
Horse Haven @ Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (Kanab)
Lazy B Equine Sanctuary
Dust Devil (Cedar)
HNH
Drage Second Chance
Special note: The directory is always free to list for Utah businesses, and I normally charge a small fee for out-of-state listings. But I’m waiving ALL fees for horse rescues — no matter where they’re located.
Let’s help give these amazing rescues more visibility! 💕
