Is this the most underrated hike in Tennessee?

If you want to learn about more hidden gems like this you should be following @thetennesseehiker!

This is one of my favorite hikes in all of Tennessee. It is a challenging but rewarding 2.7 mile out and back hiking trail that includes 9 creek crossings or 18 round trip. It also features a 30 feet tall waterfall with a deep pool large enough for swimming. Finally, you reach a knife ridge that extends 100 feet above the creek banks and forms a thin ridgeline that at the top is less than 10 feet wide. 😬 Not recommended if you have a fear of heights. You are then allowed to summit these cliffs and enjoy the 360-degree view from the top.

📍 Window Cliffs Trail
🥾 5.5 Miles Roundtrip (Moderate/Hard)
🕰️ 2-3 Hours To Complete

Tips for this hike:
• Bring water proof and slip resistant shoes since you will get wet and the rocks can be very slick.
• Be careful when walking around the summit, it is very steep and high up and can be dangerous. Climb at your own risk. ⚠️
• There are 9 creek crossings (18 round trip) with cables you can hold onto. Water can be anywhere between ankle or waist deep.
• DO NOT attempt this trail if there is rain in the forecast due to the risk of flash floods. This trail is subject to closure after periods of heavy rain.
• Pets are NOT permitted.
• The hours of operation for this trail between March-October are 8:00AM-6:00PM Gates close at 4:00PM. Don’t start this hike late in the day.
• Most importantly, please practice the LEAVE NO TRACE principles and pack out everything you pack in on this hike.
