Today we celebrate the man who started it all.
Happy birthday, Larry Mynar.
Founder. President. Fearless leader. The person who saw a gap between crisis and capability and decided to spend his life filling it. Everything HEAL Corp is today traces back to one man who refused to look away from a need he could do something about.
Larry, you lead from the front. You have never asked anyone to do something you would not do yourself. And you have built something that will outlast all of us, mission by mission, with your own hands and your whole heart.
Today is not about the mission. Today is about you.
From every member of your HEAL Corp family, thank you. For your leadership. For your service. For your dedication. And for being the kind of leader people are proud to follow into hard places.
Enjoy your day, Larry. You have earned every bit of it.
Drop a birthday message for Larry in the comments below. He will see every one.
🎂 Happy Birthday, Larry Mynar.

June is Men's Mental Health Month. We want to start it with the truth.
Men everywhere are struggling. Not just the ones who have seen what first responders and military members see. The rancher carrying a season of drought on his shoulders. The father working two jobs who feels like he is failing at both and his children. The young man who cannot name what is wrong but knows something is. The retiree who lost his sense of purpose the day he stopped working. The husband who says "I'm fine" because he learned a long time ago that was the only acceptable answer.
The numbers tell part of the story. Men account for nearly 80 percent of su***de deaths in the United States. More than 6 million American men experience depression every year. Nearly half of men in one survey admitted they felt more depressed than they let on to the people in their lives. And only about a third of men struggling would reach out to a professional for help.
At HEAL Corp, we know our lane in this conversation. Our teams include first responders, veterans, and search and rescue personnel who carry the weight of what this work asks of them. We have stood beside families on the worst days of their lives. That weight is real and we talk about it inside this organization because we have to.
But this month is not about us. It is about every man, in every walk of life, who has been carrying something alone because he believed he was supposed to.
You are not supposed to. And the strongest thing a man can do is the thing he has been told his whole life not to do. Ask for help.
Throughout June we will be sharing what struggling actually looks like in men, what helps, how to show up for the men in your life, and where to turn. Follow along. Share these posts. Someone in your circle needs them, whether you know it or not.
If you are struggling right now, you do not need to wait for the rest of this series. Call or text 988, the Su***de and Crisis Lifeline. It is free, confidential, and available 24 hours a day. Veterans can dial 988 and press 1, or text 838255.
