City of Safford proposed Solar Rate Changes!! Many people have been asking me how the proposed rate changes would affect their bills with City of Safford. It’s not good. Here are 2 examples from real customers we have in City of Safford utility. Everyone with Solar needs to attend the public meeting October 13th and we need to demand being Grandfathered to the solar rate structure we signed up for. It’s a bait and switch for the City to encourage everyone to go solar and then switch the rates and rules so that they profit from our investment. You made the investment to go solar, you paid for the electricity to be created and now they are wanting to take 75% of the access power for themselves to sell at full price. It’s wrong and our voices need to be heard!
